We took posession of Ambulance One this morning in a town north of Warsaw. It immediately went for a full service, which it passed with flying colours! Only thing it needed was washer fluid! After stocking it up with extra oil and filters we set off for Krakow.
In Krakow we picked up a new member of our team - Rick Przybysz, who is a retired Saanich Fire Captain. He's in the region donating some gear for Ukrainian firefighters and we've joined forces, as he offered to drive one of the ambulances. In addition, he's donated 2 AEDs (defibrillators) to the mission, which is huge!
Right now we are in a small town in southern Poland, waiting to meet a seller late tonight in order to pick up Ambulance Two and hopefully buy Ambulance Three if it checks out. Things are on track for delivery tomorrow!
